Annex

McCown Towers

The Annex is a 5 story, 75-unit property located at 1320 Blvd. of the Arts for both elderly (62+) and/or disabled individuals. All units are 1-bedroom units that are approximately 565 sq. ft. in size. There is a maximum of two people allowed per household.

The Towers is an 11 story, 100-unit property located at 1300 Blvd. of the Arts for elderly (62+) people. All units are small 1-bedroom, newly renovated units with approximately 369 sq. ft. in size. There is a maximum of two people allowed per household. All household members MUST be 62 or older to apply.

Applications for these developments can be downloaded on our website at https://sarasotahousing.org/applications.aspx. Applicants with disabilities who require reasonable accommodations or who are unable to access the internet, may pick up an application during normal business hours or may apply in person Monday - Thursday between 8am and 4pm at the address below. We will not take requests over the phone. Applicants may also request an application in writing, and one will be mailed to them. ALL PAPER APPLICATIONS, ONCE THOROUGHLY COMPLETED WITH ALL THE REQUIRED ELIGIBILITY DOCUMENTATION, SHOULD BE MAILED BACK TO THE ADDRESS LISTED ABOVE. DUPLICATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE REJECTED, SO PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Completed applications received will be placed on the waiting list in the order of preference then date and time of application if the applicant/s do not exceed the HUD/LIHTC income limits. Once your application is accepted, changes of address must be made in writing and submitted to the Sarasota Housing Authority at the address listed above. Please do NOT call to inquire about your application status because no information will be given over the telephone.
