INVITATION TO BID BID TITLE: Allegro & Laguna Water Service Line Replacements BID NUMBER: 24-02-10-VH THE CITY OF SUNRISE, FLORIDA (hereinafter the City) will receive, open, and publicly read aloud bids for the above-referenced matter at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at City Hall, First Floor, 10770 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, Florida 33351. A description of the Project is as follows: Scope of Work: The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, installation of new realigned water services from existing water mains to the existing water meter of approximately 330 residential homes. Milling and resurfacing of the streets, sodding, concrete sidewalk, and driveway restoration. Location: The Work is in the City of Sunrise, FL, 33323 within the Allegro and Laguna Communities. The project limits are within the City of Sunrise, south of Silver Palm Blvd from NW 13th Street to NW 126th Avenue. Qualification Requirement: The vendor shall have one of the following: Florida Certified General Contractors License OR Florida Certified Underground Utility Contractor License. In the City of Sunrise, all underground utility permits (Drainage, Sewer, Sewer Service, Water, Water Service) require a licensed underground contractor to obtain the permit and perform the work. See sample contract, Article II - The Work - Section 2.2. City Policies regarding licenses and certificates necessary to apply for permits. The vendor must have worked on 3 projects over the past 5 years of similar size and scope. The City shall be the sole and final judge in determining if the Contractor meets the Qualification Requirement. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid conference will be held at the Utilities Building, 777 Sawgrass Corporate Parkway, 2 nd Floor, Sunrise, FL 33325 Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00am. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. A site visit will not be made as the site is open to the public. Contractors are responsible visiting the site on their own and ensuring a complete understanding of the scope of work.
