ADVERTISEMENT & INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
The City of Hialeah, Florida, will receive electronic (sealed) bids for the project entitled: Drainage Improvements to W 38th Avenue (NW 99th Avenue) from W 109th Street to 110th Street until Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the bids must be submitted electronically in the manner specified below in the electronic submittal method described below and in no other manner.

The City of Hialeah requires the services of an experienced and reliable contractor that is capable of furnishing, installing, and testing all appurtenances associated with the drainage improvements to W 38th Avenue (NW 99th Avenue) from W 109th Street to 110th Street. Drainage improvements include approximately 435 linear feet of roadway restoration, drainage system improvements (catch basins, solid pipes, culverts, etc.), and pavement markings, which extend beyond the linear feet associated with the roadway restoration. All work shall be in accordance to the plans and specifications of this IFB.
Each Bid shall be submitted electronically to the City's e-procurement Portal located at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityofhialeahfl no later than the date and time specified below. Bids received after said date and time and/or if any other format will not be considered and no time extensions will be granted.

(The City reserves the right to delay or modify scheduled dates and will notify Bidders in writing of all changes in scheduled dates.)
Bid bond will be required. The bid surety will be in the amount of 5% of the bid or you may submit a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Hialeah. Should the contractor fail to submit the bid bond, the bid will automatically be forfeited. If the contract amount exceeds $ 200,000.00, Performance and Payment Bonds will be required in the form prescribed by Section 255.05, Fla. Stat. and should be in the amount of the contract, and must be submitted for review and acceptance by the City prior to the Notice to Proceed.
The City of Hialeah reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities or minor irregularities, technicalities, or omissions, in the bidding. Bids may be held over by the City of Hialeah Purchasing Division, at its sole discretion, for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to consideration of the awarding of the contract.
Please be advised that this Solicitation is issued subject to the City of Hialeah's Code of Ordinances. and the Miami-Dade County "Cone of Silence", see 2-11.1(t), Miami-Dade County Code, which are deemed as being incorporated by reference in this IFB. Communications with the Mayor, City Council, and City Staff are restricted.
