CITY OF LAUDERHILLSTATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (SHIP)FY 2024-2025NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY The City of Lauderhill has been awarded State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for approximately $565,390 for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 to provide affordable housing assistance to low, very low, and moderate-income households in the City of Lauderhill.The City of Lauderhill allocates 20% or $113,078 of its FY 2024-2025 SHIP award for special needs households, as defined in 420.0004(13), Florida Statutes, through approved strategies or by incorporating new strategies, prioritizing funding for persons with developmental disabilities as defined in s. 393.063(9), Florida Statutes, with an emphasis on home modifications, including technological enhancements and devices.Special needs groups are as follows: disabling conditions; young adults aging out of foster care; survivors of domestic violence; a person receiving benefits under the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program and veterans’ disability benefits.Funds awarded will be made to ELIGIBLE City of Lauderhill residents who submit application for purchase assistance or owner-occupied rehabilitation programs.Applications for FY 2024-2025 SHIP program funds will be accepted after October 1, 2024, until all slots have been filled; and can be obtained by visiting our website at www.lauderhill-fl.gov; or by calling the Housing Foundation of America at 954-923-5001.For assistance with application completion, please contact Housing Foundation of America at 954-923-5001.Translation services available upon request.Servicios de traduccion pueden ser disponibles bajo peticion, llamada 954-714 2181.
