ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENT
TO CONTRACT FOR PRE-CONSTUCTION SERVICES AND
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AT RISK SERVICES
WITH A GUARANTEED
MAXIMUM PRICE FOR
LEE HEALTH, SPECIALIZED CLINICAL OUTPATIENT SERVICES PROJECT,
FORT MYERS, FLORIDA
Lee Health is requesting submission of qualifications from construction management firms under the provisions of Section 255.103, Florida Statutes, relating to the Lee Health Specialized Clinical Outpatient Services Project located at 2501 SW 3rd Avenue, Cape Coral, Fla (Facility Site). The services sought consist of all labor, services, equipment and materials needed for the development and construction of the proposed project. Firms qualified to submit for the project shall consist of construction management firms licensed to engage in contracting under the provisions of Chapter 489, Florida Statutes. The contractual agreement to be entered into with Lee Health is a construction management at risk contract with a guaranteed maximum price established for the project. All subcontractors will contract with and work under the direction of the construction manager.
Qualified construction managers are invited to notify Lee Health of their interest in this project. A Request for Qualifications and Statement of Qualifications and Performance Data Form (''Request for Qualifications Form") can be obtained from the Lee Health Facilities Management Department by writing to Kent Ley, AIA, ACHA System Director of Planning and Design, Lee Health Corporate Center 4211 Metro Pkwy. Suite 200 Fort Myers, FL 33916 or emailing him at: kent.ley@leehealth.org.
All interested construction management firms must complete the Request for Qualifications and return the same to Lee Health Facilities Planning and Design office located at 4211 Metro Pkwy. Suite 200 Fort Myers, FL 33916 by Monday, October 28th, 2024 by Noon EST in order to be considered for the project. Please note: Any request for clarifications regarding the Request for Qualifications, must be made by Monday, October 21st, 2024 by Noon EST Any interested construction management firm not fully completing a Request for Qualifications will not be considered for the project.
The Request for Qualifications will be utilized to prequalify, select and short list no fewer than three (3) construction management firms as the most qualified based on the following criteria: ability of personnel, ability to meet time and budget requirements, previous performance and references, recent experience in hospital projects, geographical location of the firm, experience with the building information modeling software known as Autodesk Revit, capability of large file transfer to owner through a secure File Transfer Protocol site, cost control systems, bonding capacity, ability to respond to Lee Health in a timely manner, demonstrated approach to similar projects and current project workloads.
Lee Health reserves the right to reject, in its sole discretion, any and all submittals.
