NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER THE ABANDONMENT OF STREET AND DRIVEWAY

RIGHTS-OF-WAY IN SOUTHERN PINE

ADDITION SUBDIVISION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Okeechobee County, Florida will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the Judge William L. Hendry Courtroom, Room 270, Historic Okeechobee County Courthouse, 304 NW 2nd Street, Okeechobee, Florida. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments in consideration of a petition to abandon street and driveway rights-of-way in Southern Pine Addition subdivision, which is further described as follows:

ALL THAT PART OF THE DRIVEWAY (15.00 FEET IN WIDTH) ADJACENT TO BLOCKS C AND D OF THE PLAT OF SOUTHERN PINE ADDITION, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 14 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA. BEING BOUND ON THE NORTH BY THE SOUTH LINE OF AVENUE C AND BOUND ON THE SOUTH BY THE EASTERLY EXTENSION OF THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 3, BLOCK D OF THE PLAT OF SOUTHERN PINE ADDITION, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 14 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA

TOGETHER WITH:

ALL THAT PART OF AVENUE D (40.00 FEET IN WIDTH) BETWEEN BLOCK C AND D OF THE PLAT OF SOUTHERN PINE ADDITION, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 14 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA. BEING BOUND ON THE WEST BY THE EAST LINE OF NORTHEAST 16TH AVENUE AND BOUND ON THE EAST BY THE WEST LINE OF THE 15.00 FOOT DRIVEWAY SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF SOUTHERN PINE ADDITION, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 14 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA.

All interested parties shall have the opportunity to be heard at this public hearing and may submit written comments to the Community Development Department prior to the hearing. Any person deciding to appeal any decision by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at this hearing will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made and that the record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. County Clerk tapes are for the sole purpose of backup for official records of the Clerk.
