NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LAKEWOOD RANCH INTER-DISTRICT AUTHORITY
The Lakewood Ranch Inter-District Authority Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at the Lakewood Ranch Town Hall; 8175 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard; Lakewood Ranch, Florida 34202, to consider the adoption of a Rule, pursuant to applicable Florida Statutes, as further explained below:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE LAKEWOOD RANCH INTER-DISTRICT AUTHORITY ADOPTING A REVISED TOWN HALL USAGE POLICY; REPLACING THE PREVIOUS TOWN HALL USAGE POLICY IN EFFECT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The proposed Rule may be adjusted at the Public Hearing pursuant to the discussion by the Board and public comment. Specific legal authority for adoption of the above-referenced Rule includes, but is not limited to, Sections 120.54, 190.011, and 190.035, Florida Statutes. Prior Notice of Rule Development was published in the Bradenton Herald on Saturday, March 1st, 2025. The Board may also consider any other business which may properly come before it.
Any person who wishes to provide the Lakewood Ranch Inter-District Authority with a proposal for a lower-cost regulatory alternative, as provided in Section 120.541, Florida Statutes, must do so in writing within twenty-one (21) days after publication of this notice. The Public Hearing may be continued to a date, time, and place to be specified on the record at the hearing.
Should any interested party seek to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at the above-referenced hearing, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable Florida Statutes, any person requiring special accommodations at the hearing because of a disability or physical impairment should contact the Executive Director at least two (2) days prior to the hearing at the address or telephone number listed below.
All interested parties may appear at the hearing and be heard regarding the proposed Rule. A copy of the proposed Rule is on file at the Lakewood Ranch Town Hall, 8175 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, Lakewood Ranch, Florida 34202; and may be obtained by the public between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays.
