CITY OF OAKLAND PARK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Oakland Park is issuing a request for proposals (applications) from non-profit/ public service organizations serving residents of Oakland Park to be funded from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division for the 51st Program Year (October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026) as follows: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG): Approximately $30,000 may be available for up to two (2) non- profit/ public service organizations, minimum amount of $15,000 each, serving the City of Oakland Park residents. This funding availability is not guaranteed. The City is also considering a City Capital Improvement Project to be funded from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division for the 51st Program Year (October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026). The project selected for submission this year for funding is the development of Glenwood Garden Park. FINAL PUBLIC HEARING AND APPROVAL The final recommendation for Capital project funding and non-profit organization funding will be considered by the City of Oakland Park Commissioners on April 16, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. during the City Commission meeting which will be held in person and virtually. BROWARD COUNTY'S SUBMITTAL DATE Once the City of Oakland Park selects the projects for funding, the applications will be submitted by the City to the Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division, 110 NE 3rd Street, Third Floor, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, on or before 12:00 Noon, EST on Monday, April 21, 2025.
