NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, AUDREY AND WILLIAM MURDOCK, have petitioned to vacate, abandon, discontinue and renounce any interest and right of the public in and to the following described property to wit:
COMMENCING AT A 1/2" CAPPED IRON ROD, ILLEGIBLE, AT THE NORTHERLY MOST CORNER OF THE (AND ALSO) PARCEL AS DESCRIBED IN O.R. BOOK 2928, AT PAGE 188, FOR A DISTANCE OF 99.98 FEET; THENCE GO NORTH 65 DEGREES 02 MINUTES 59 SECONDS WEST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID PARCEL, FOR A DISTANCE OF 135.75 FEET; THENCE DEPARTING NORTH LINE OF SAID PARCEL, GO NORTH 14 DEGREES 18 MINUTES 16 SECONDS EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 53.02 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PARCEL IS SITUATED IN A PORTION OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH, RANGE 26 WEST, SANTA ROSA COUNTY, FLORIDA.
AND WHEREAS, a time and date have been established for a public hearing for the Board of County Commissioners to consider the advisability of exercising its authority pursuant to Chapter 336 of the general statutes to vacate, abandon, discontinue, renounce, and disclaim any right or interest of the public in and to the above-described property.
NOW THEREFORE, all interested persons and the public generally are directed that a public hearing upon the above-mentioned petition, shall be held by the Board of County Commissioners of Santa Rosa County, Florida, in the board room in the Santa Rosa County Administrative Center located at 6495 Caroline Street, Milton, Florida on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., Central Time, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered.
All interested parties should take notice that if they decide to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter coming before said Board at said meeting, it is their individual responsibility to insure that a record of proceedings they are appealing exists and for such purpose they will need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record shall include the testimony and the evidence upon which their appeal is to be based. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to this matter.
