TOWN OF GOLDEN BEACH

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE BE ADVISED that the Town Council of the Town of Golden Beach, sitting as the Local Planning Agency (LPA), will hold the second public hearing to consider adoption of the Ordinance described below on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. or immediately thereafter at Civic Center, 100 Ocean Boulevard, Golden Beach, Florida 33160.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF GOLDEN BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE TOWN'S CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REVISING ARTICLE IV "SUPPLEMENTARY DISTRICT REGULATIONS", DIVISION 7, "WALLS AND FENCES", SECTION 66-186, "HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS", WITHIN CHAPTER 66 "ZONING", TO CLARIFY THE PERMITTED LOCATION AND HEIGHTS OF WALLS WITHIN ZONE ONE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Immediately following the LPA hearing the Town Council, as the governing body, will consider at a public hearing, as second reading, adoption of the above described Ordinance.

The proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public at the Office of the Town Clerk, 100 Ocean Boulevard, Golden Beach, FL 33160. Interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing or provide written comments to the Town Council.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Council, with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, that person will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made; such record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105).
