PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intention of the Board of County Commissioners of Escambia County, Florida, at a public hearing to be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 5:32 p.m. in the BCC Meeting Room, Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, 221 Palafox Place, First Floor, to consider the following request:

AN ORDINANCE OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA AMENDING VOLUME I, CHAPTER 58, ARTICLE IV, SECTIONS 58-91 DECLARING A FAIR HOUSING POLICY; REPEALING VOLUME I, CHAPTER 58, ARTICLE IV, SECTIONS 58-92 THROUGH 58-103 OF THE ESCAMBIA COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO FAIR HOUSING; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Any interested party may appear at the public hearing and be heard regarding the proposed request. Please note any person who decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at the public hearing will need a record of the proceedings of the meeting. Since the Board of County Commissioners does not make verbatim records of its meetings, such person may need to independently secure a record, which should include the testimony or evidence on which the appeal is to be based. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing a special accommodation or an interpreter to participate in the public hearing should contact County Administration at (850) 595-4900 at least seven days prior to the date of the meeting.
