PUBLIC NOTICE 2025-085 JUNE 1, 2025 CITY OF DEERFIELD BEACH NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY FISCAL YEARS 21-22 AND 22-23 COMBINED HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM (HOME) FUNDS FOR RESIDENTIAL PURCHASE ASSISTANCE The City of Deerfield Beach has been awarded HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program funding, as part of the Broward County HOME Consortium, for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2023 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As a member of the Broward County HOME Consortium, the City has been allowed to combine remaining FY 2021-2022 HOME Program funds [$207,581.00] with the previously awarded FY 2022-2023 program funds [$231,334.00] (including program income) [$57,035.36] for a new available total of $495,950.36. Activity funding under this allotment will provide for residential home Purchase Assistances for Very Low-income and Low-income households up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), as summarized below.Purchase Assistance Program: Provides eligible low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers with down payment and closing cost assistance to purchase a primary residential property in the City of Deerfield Beach. A first-time homebuyer includes individuals who have had no ownership in a principal residence within the last three years. Moving forward, and any time hereafter until further notice, all available HOME program funds will be awarded to qualified residents who submit an application for the Purchase Assistance Program and/or the Homeowner Rehabilitation Program.How to Apply Applications for assistance of the combined FY 2021-2022 and FY 2022-2023 funding will be accepted after June 30, 2025 until all funds have been exhausted. Applications will be available online via the City of Deerfield Beach website (https://www.deerfield-beach.com/1509/Housing-Grants). All applications must be complete with required documentation. Eligible applicants will be assisted on a first-come, first qualified basis.
