NOTICE OF OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE WAITING
LIST FOR VISTA BREEZE
The Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach (HACMB) will accept online pre-applications for the Vista Breeze Waiting List beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, and ending at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Vista Breeze, located at 175 & 280 South Shore Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33141, is a Section 8 Project-Based Voucher development designated for income-eligible elderly individuals 62 years of age or older. The property consists of two buildings with a total of 119 studio apartment units.
PRE-APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Pre-applications will ONLY be accepted online at: https://miamibeach.myhousing.com
Individuals with disabilities may request assistance completing the pre-application by submitting a reasonable accommodation request in writing no later than Friday, August 1, 2025 to: Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach, Attn: Asset Management, 200 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
The Vista Breeze Waiting List will close at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Families selected must meet the following guidelines:
Total Annual Income may not exceed the income limit of $43,400, as established by U.S. HUD.
All household members must be 62 years of age or older at the time of the Pre-Application submission.
The maximum occupancy for each studio apartment is one person.
At the time of the actual application process, family eligibility must be further established in accordance with U.S. HUD income and eligibility requirements, and any other applicable rules or regulations.
LOTTERY PROCESS:
A computerized lottery process will randomly select 600 pre-applications. All pre-applications received during this period will be considered as applying at the same time. It does not matter if a pre-application is received on the first day or the last day.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Pre-applications will only be accepted when completed and submitted online. Any pre-application that is not fully and accurately completed will be disqualified.
Only one pre-application per household will be accepted. Families who submit more than one pre-application or who make misleading or false statements will be disqualified.
Applicants will receive a receipt number as confirmation of the online submission.
Only the 600 randomly selected applicants will be notified of their placement on the waiting list via regular U.S. mail.
Applicants should note that there is never a fee to apply for any program operated by the HACMB.
