PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

State Road 534, Phase 1 Design Projects

CFX Project Numbers: 534-241, 534-242A, 534-242, 534-243

The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is holding a public meeting for design of Phase 1 for State Road 534. Phase 1 is a 5-mile section from SR 417 near Boggy Creek Road to Narcoossee Road and it is part of the SR 534 expressway. The entire SR 534 project is a 14-mile regional transportation network that will support the current and projected transportation needs in Southeast Orange and Northeast Osceola counties.

Once the 14-mile expressway is complete, it would help relieve congestion on local roadways, support evacuation and emergency response, and enhance regional connectivity with an expressway. SR 534 will be built in three separate phases. The design of Phase 1 is expected to be completed by early 2026, with construction anticipated to start in mid-2027. Pre-registration is optional but appreciated for planning purposes.

The in-person meeting is an open-house format and community members may come at any point during the meeting time to view the exhibits, ask questions and provide comments to design team representatives. A continuous, pre-recorded audiovisual presentation providing an overview of the project will be available for viewing throughout the meeting. Attendees of the virtual public meeting will be able to view the same presentation as well as submit written questions and comments regarding the project.
