7896444 11/16/2025 The City of Orlando (CITY), Florida, will receive electronically bids through OpenGov, for IFB26-0022 Water Conserv I WRF Biosolids Addition of Gravity Belt Thickener, on December 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Local Time, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read via Zoom meeting. Instructions on electronic submittal are in the bid package: This Contract is for improvements to the Water Conserv I WRF solids handling system. Specifically, the Work includes demolition of existing facilities including curbing, slabs, existing polymer feed systems, and modifications to existing sludge feed piping; construction of a new 2-meter gravity belt thickener (GBT), complete with ancillary equipment, sludge conditioning system, built-in retention tank, gravity drainage section, belt alignment and tensioning system, and belt washing system, an in-line mixer for polymer, discharge chute, discharge conveyor pump, and new wash water pump; construction of polymer feed system including three (3) new polymer feed units to replace the existing units and feed the existing GBT and new GBT; piping and valves; structural modifications including concrete curbing and slabs; modification of electrical systems for new equipment including construction of a motor control center and new control panel for GBT and polymer feed systems. Bidders must be appropriately licensed Florida Contractors pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes to be considered responsible bidders and eligible to be awarded a contract. The CITY reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Bids, or to re-advertise for Bids. Awards, if made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the CITY, price and other factors considered. This Project is funded in whole or in part by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The CONTRACTOR and subcontractors shall be required to comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the FDEP program, including, but not limited to, Davis-Bacon Act, Equal Employment Opportunity/Executive Order 11246, Restrictions on Lobbying, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 1968. The CONTRACTOR shall comply with the requirements of the FDEP program and include this provision in all subcontracts issued as a result of this Agreement.
