RIO VISTA SUBDIVISION PRIVATE LOT GRAVITY SERVICES

The Town of Sewalls Point (Town) is seeking bids from licensed Contractors for the installation of gravity sanitary laterals from existing Town residents to the Martin County Owned Sewer Laterals located in the adjacent Town rights-of-ways.

Background: The initial work will be within the Rio Vista Subdivision. The Town has installed a Martin County Utilities & Solid Waste Department (MCU) Type B Hybrid Lift station and connected it to the rehabilitated/reconstructed gravity sewer collection system within the Rio Vista Subdivision. This system is designed to provide municipal sewer to 76 residents in the aforementioned subdivision and is presently owned and operated by Martin County Utilities & Solid Waste Department

A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., local time, at Town Hall located at 1 South Sewalls Point Road, Sewalls Point, Florida 34996 on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. The pre-proposal meeting is NOT mandatory.

The resulting contract shall be awarded to the lowest 1st and 2nd responsive and responsible bidders whose total base bid requirements and criteria set forth in this ITB and whose award will be in the best interest of and most advantageous to the Town of Sewalls Point, taking into consideration; Base Bid amount, the financial responsibility of the bidder, quality of materials, personnel and equipment resources, proven skill and experience, abilities to timely perform the contract, previous satisfactory performance and such other abilities of the bidder that the Town, in its sole discretion, determines will enable it to perform effectively and efficiently the contract being bid upon. The Town may add/delete work from this contract or use multiple contractors to complete this work. In addition to the Rio Vista Subdivision Services, the Town may also extend the contract for the following areas: Ridgeland, Hillcrest Subdivisions and Heritage Place, Emarita Way, Palmetto Dr., West End Estates, Miramar Rd. and Copaire Dr. road areas.

Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond/Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid and must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to furnish a 100% Construction Payment and Performance Bond meeting the requirements of Section 255.05 Florida Statutes.

No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after submission by the date set for the opening thereof.

The Town, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to waive all minor technicalities or irregularities, to reject any or all bids or any part of a bid, to award to a single bidder or to divide the award between bidders, and to re-solicit this bid or any part of this bid. The Town further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award a contract to the bidder (or bidders) who(se) bid best serves the interests of the Town.
