INVITATION TO BID ITB 2026-31 HENDRY COUNTY SHIP HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM REHABILITATION OF (4) SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES OPENING DATE AND TIME:

JULY 17, 2026 AT 2:00 P.M.

This solicitation invites qualified licensed contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, and incidentals necessary to rehabilitate four (4) owner-occupied single-family homes under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Housing Rehabilitation Program. All work, payments, and contract administration shall comply with SHIP statutory, regulatory, and LHAP requirements. Home locations:

Award Structure (Multiple Awards). The County will accept bids on one (1), multiple, or all rehabilitation projects identified in Section II Scope of Work. Each home constitutes a separate and independently awardable Scope of Work (SOW). Submission of a bid on fewer than all homes shall not render a bidder non-responsive.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Walk-Through will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 9:00 A.M., beginning at the Hendry County Housing Office Parking Lot, located at 1100 S. Olympia Street, Clewiston, Florida 33440. The conference will start with a mandatory walk-through of two (2) homes in Clewiston, followed by a mandatory walk-through of two (2) homes in LaBelle at 11:30 A.M. The itinerary and order of site visits will be provided at sign-in. Attendance at all four (4) homes is required for any bidder intending to submit a bid.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Hendry County, Florida, for the BID NO. 2026-31 SHIP HOUSING REHABILITATION (4) HOMES project. In order to be considered, bids must be received by the Board of County Commissioners, c/o the Clerk of the Circuit Court, at the C.E. Hall Building, Room A-226, Hendry County Courthouse Complex, 25 E. Hickpochee Avenue, LaBelle, Florida, no later than Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. All responses will be publicly recorded at that time. The solicitation does not commit Hendry County to award any contracts, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response to this solicitation, or to contract for any services. The County retains the right to cancel this solicitation or reject any or all responses for any reason set forth in Hendry County Code Section 1-2-185(c)(3)(a) and may choose to re-procure at the discretion of the Board of County Commissioners.
