Orange Street Widening Project

The City of Lake Alfred is requesting sealed bids for the Orange Street Widening Project. The City of Lake Alfred funds this project. The bid packet, including specifications, can be downloaded via the Demand Star link on the city website. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the City of Lake Alfred, and plainly marked on the outside Sealed Bid, Orange Street Widening Project ITB 2026-06.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Public Works Training Facility 485. W. Haines Blvd., Lake Alfred, Florida 33850. It is the responsibility of the bidder to deliver the bid packet to the City of Lake Alfred's City Administration building, C/O City Clerk, 155 E. Pomelo Street, Lake Alfred, on or before Thursday, July 16, 2026, before 2:00 PM. The bid opening will be held on the same day, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM or soon thereafter at the Public Works Training Facility, 485 W. Haines Blvd., Lake Alfred, Florida 33850. Bidders are hereby advised that this project is funded solely by the City of Lake Alfred. The Federal Labor Standards Act will be followed, and the City is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Minority-owned businesses and contractors are encouraged to bid.

Bidders are also required to submit all forms within the bid packet. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, and to accept the bid in the best interest of the City, not necessarily the lowest bid.
