PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The following ordinance will be read at First Reading on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. and will be held over for a Second Reading and adoption on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at the City Council meeting in the Apopka City Hall Council Chambers.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF APOPKA, FLORIDA; AMENDING SECTION 2.3, ADVISORY AND DECISION-MAKING BODIES AND PERSONS, OF ARTICLE 2 OF THE CITYS LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING THE PROCEDURES FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF APOPKA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD; SETTING FORTH ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS; ESTABLISHING A VACANCY AND APPOINTMENT PROCESS; PROVIDING FOR TERMS OF APPOINTMENT, OATH OF OFFICE, ETHICS TRAINING, AND FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, SCRIVENERS ERRORS, CODIFICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Interested parties may appear at this meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. The proposed ordinance is available in the City Clerks office for inspection.
