NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLORIDA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Planning Board of the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, that said Board will hold a public hearing to consider a request by Nainesh Patel, representative of BAPS Orlando, for approval of a Conditional Use. The request is to operate a house of worship, to include accessory uses of offices, a cafeteria, a gift shop, and a priest/family residence in an MOR-2(R) zoning district at 965 Keller Road. The property is identified by the legal description below.
LOT 1 MAITLAND SPRINGS PB 60 PGS 20 & 21
THIS REQUEST IS FOR THE BOARD to authorize a Conditional Use for BAPS Orlando as outlined in Land Development Code sections 3.16.3(c), which identifies a house of worship with attendant educational and recreational buildings and off-street parking as a Conditional Use in the MOR-2(R) district. Conditional Use approval is to be consistent with LDC 3.4.3.4.
THE PUBLIC HEARING will be held in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 225 Newburyport Avenue, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. At the meeting, interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the request. This hearing may be continued from time to time until final action is taken. If anyone decides to appeal any decision on this request, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, is made, per Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes. The City does not provide this verbatim record.
