NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

FOR A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO

THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE

ORDINANCE NO. 1845-26

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Planning Board/Local Planning Agency of the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, that said Board will hold a public hearing to consider an application by the City of Altamonte Springs (the Applicant) to consider proposed Ordinance No. 1845-26. The ordinance proposes to amend Article XII, Floodplain Management, of the Land Development Code to revise the requirements for projects involving Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs) or Conditional Letters of Map Revision Based on Fill (CLOMR-F) and Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) or Letters of Map Revision Based on Fill (LOMR-F). The proposed amendment establishes conditions under which a building permit may be issued before Federal Emergency Management Agencys (FEMAs) approval of a final LOMR or LOMR-F, including requirements for a CLOMR or CLOMR-F, written request, hold harmless agreement, performance bond, elevation certifications, and certificate of occupancy safeguards.

The proposed amendment may be reviewed at the Citys Growth Management Department, 175 Newburyport Ave, Unit 1000, Altamonte Springs, Florida, during the regular office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on normal business days.

The public hearing will be held in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 225 Newburyport Avenue, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. At the meeting, interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the request. This hearing may be continued from time to time until final action is taken. Persons are advised that if they wish to appeal any decision made at the hearing/meeting, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. The City of Altamonte Springs does not provide this verbatim record.
