PROJECT: SDOC AAA HS Swimming Pool
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is the Construction Manager proudly serving the School District of Osceola County and is soliciting proposals from prequalified subcontractors for the AAA HS Swimming Pool project located at 5800 Nova Road, St. Cloud, FL 34771.
This project consists of a 340,000 gallon competition swimming pool and associated 2,400 SF CMU equipment/restroom building at the new high school. The work consists of selective site demolition, concrete, masonry, miscellaneous metals, roofing, waterproofing, sealants, FRP doors & frames, stucco/plastering, epoxy flooring, painting, specialties, signage, lockers, swimming pool (including geothermal heating system), portable aluminum bleachers, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, safety & security, earthwork, utilities, fencing, and landscape & irrigation.
We anticipate mobilization in October 2026 with substantial completion in October 2027.
A non-mandatory virtual Pre-Bid Meeting will be hosted by Wharton-Smith, Inc. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend; however, attendance is not mandatory.
Bids will be received at the office of Wharton-Smith, Inc., located at 750 Monroe Road, Sanford, FL 32771 no later than the date and time prescribed above. Bids shall be emailed to comest@whartonsmith.com. Bids received after the appointed date and time will be subject to rejection. Bids will only be accepted from Prequalified Firms utilizing the required Form of Proposal included in the Bid Package.
The RFI deadline is Friday, July 24. Please submit RFIs to comest@whartonsmith.com. Do not contact the Architect or Owner for information on this project.
MWBE, LDB, VBE, SBE, and Local Subcontractors & Suppliers are encouraged to participate. The LDB goal is 10%, the VBE goal is 3%, and the SBE goal is 10%.
Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for all building envelope scopes of work and for all subcontracts valued at $100,000 or greater.
All bidding subcontractors shall adhere to having all onsite personnel registered with a valid JLA Badge, per Florida Statues 1012.32, 1012.465, 1012.467 & 1012.468. All costs for new employee badging & renewals will be the sole responsibility of the bidding subcontractor.
