The following ordinance will be read at First Reading on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. and will be held over for a Second Reading and adoption on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at the City Council meeting in the Apopka City Hall Council

Chambers.

ORDINANCE NO. 3168

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF APOPKA, FLORIDA; AMENDING SECTION 2.3, ADVISORY AND DECISION-MAKING BODIES AND PERSONS, OF ARTICLE 2 OF THE CITYS LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING THE PROCEDURES FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF APOPKA PLANNING COMMISSION; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR OATH OF OFFICE AND FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, SCRIVENERS ERRORS, CODIFICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Interested parties may appear at this meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. The proposed ordinance is available in the City Clerks office for inspection. Please be advised that, under State law, if you decide to appeal a decision made with respect to this matter, you will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
