COUNTY LINE DRAINAGE DISTRICT

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ANNUAL AUDIT SERVICES

The County Line Drainage District (the District) hereby requests proposals for annual financial auditing services. The proposal must provide for the auditing of the Districts financial records for the fiscal years ending September 30, 2026, September 30, 2027, and September 30, 2028, with an option for an additional two (2) year renewal. The District is a local unit of special-purpose government created under Chapter 298, Florida Statutes, for the purpose of financing, constructing, and maintaining public infrastructure. The District was formed in 1967 and encompasses approximately 3,732 acres of agricultural land in Lee County. The District has an annual operating budget of approximately $250,700. All applicants must be duly licensed under Chapter 473 and qualified to conduct audits in accordance with government auditing standards as adopted by the Florida Board of Accountancy (Yellow Book). Audits shall be conducted in accordance with Florida law and particularly Section 218.39, Florida Statutes, and the rules of the Florida Auditor General. Proposal packages, which include evaluation criteria and instructions to proposers, are available from the District Manager. Interested firms should submit one (1) copy and one (1) digital copy of their qualifications, and any other supporting documentation to County Line Drainage District, c/o Special District Services, Inc., 2501A Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410 on or before 4:00 p.m. on September 22, 2026, in an envelope marked on the outside Auditing Services-County Line Drainage District. Proposed Audit Fees must be good for a period of not less than 90 days. Questions should be directed to the District Manager at 561-630-4922 and/or toll free at 1-877-737-4922. The District reserves the right to reject all or portions of the submittals. All costs to prepare the proposals shall be at the proposers expense.
