NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY (NOFA)
2026-2027 SHIP Funding
The City of Orlando will receive $2,365,703 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funding from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Funds will be utilized for repairs/rehabilitation to owner-occupied residences, and other strategies identified in the 2024-2027 Local Housing Assistance Plan, as funding allows.
The city will accept applications for the Housing Rehabilitation Program on an ongoing basis. Applications for State Fiscal Year 2026-2027 funded activities will be accepted between October 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, or until all available funds are spent.
Under the Housing Rehabilitation Program, financial assistance, in the form of a grant or deferred loan, is provided to income-eligible owner occupants to make necessary repairs to their home. Applications that meet eligibility requirements will be accepted on a first-qualified, first-served basis. A minimum of 20% of the citys allocated funds ($473,141), will be set aside for Special Needs Households. First priority will be given to persons with developmental disabilities as defined in S. 393.063, Florida Statutes, with an emphasis on home modifications to allow homeowners to remain independent in their own homes and maintain their homeownership. Second priority will be given to other eligible persons with special needs as defined in S. 420.0004, Florida Statutes.
