The Alligator Point Water Resources District (District) is advertising for bids for an Automated Meter Reading Project funded by a loan from the FDEP State Revolving Fund program. The District desires to advance and update the utility infrastructure to provide more detailed usage data to customers, advance notification of leaks, and improve operational performance in the non-revenue water, and meter data management. The project will consist of removing all existing ", 1", and 2" bronze bodied mechanical meters and replacing them with new solid-state meters; developing a cellular communication system for monthly billing, and customer interface for daily flow data; providing staff training, and continuing customer service.

Separate sealed BIDS for the Water Meter Replacement, SRF Project No. DW190800 will be received by Alligator Point Water Resources District until 2:00 pm est on October 14, 2026, at which time bidding will be closed. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud.

Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this invitation for bids will be funded from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Neither the State nor any of its departments, agencies or employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. This procurement will be subject to the requirements of Chapter 62-552 of the Florida Administrative Code. Contractors interested in this project are strongly advised to review Appendix B-FDEP Supplemental Conditions prior to bid submittal. No waivers from these requirements will be granted in order for the District to maintain SRF funding for this project.
