Limerock Crushing Services

Notice is hereby given that Dixie County, Florida, will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Board of County Commissioners, Dixie County Courthouse, P.O. Box 2600, Cross City, Florida 32628, for the crushing of limerock located on County-owned property.

Dixie County intends to enter into an agreement with a qualified contractor holding a current MSHA Certificate and experienced in limerock crushing and processing. The successful bidder shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, machinery, tools, fuel, and other resources necessary to crush up to 400 loads of County-owned limerock at locations designated by the County. The County will determine the quantity and schedule of work and reserves the right to order fewer than 400 loads with no obligation to utilize the full quantity.

Bidders shall submit a unit price per load. A load is approximately 18,000 pounds. The successful bidder shall furnish and maintain all required insurance (including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation), comply with all applicable laws and safety requirements, and be solely responsible for the safe operation of equipment and personnel on County property.

BIDS DUE: 3:00 P.M., October 8, 2026. BID OPENING: 3:15P.M., October 14, 2026 at the Dixie County Commissioner meeting room

Sealed bids must be received at the address above no later than the stated deadline. Late bids will not be considered.

Dixie County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, request clarification, and award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the best interest of the County.
