CITY OF OVIEDO, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Oviedo, Florida, that the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider enactment of Ordinance No. 1776 entitled:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OVIEDO, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF OVIEDO CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE I IN GENERAL, OF CHAPTER 50 - TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES, TO ENACT SECTION 50-2, TITLED BICYCLE AND MICROMOBILITY DEVICE OPERATION; PROVIDING REGULATIONS FOR OPERATION OF BICYCLES AND MICROBILITY DEVICES WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF OVIEDO; PROVIDING DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND CORRECTION OF SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Said Ordinance was placed in first reading on Monday, September 21, 2026, and the City Council will consider same for final passage and adoption after the public hearing, which will be held in the Oviedo City Hall on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 6:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible. At the meeting interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. These hearings may be continued from time to time until final action is taken by the City Council.

A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file with the City Clerk and same may be inspected by the public.
