Invitation to Bid

The Franklin County Solid Waste Department is accepting sealed bids for one used (model year 2019-current) Heavy Duty Class 8 Roll Off Truck. Specifications must meet or exceed the following requirements: 1) Model Year: 2019-Current, 2) GVWR 64,000, 3) 425 HP Engine, 4) 20K pound front axle, 5) 44K pound rear camelback suspension, 6) 65K pound cable hoist, 7) Tarp System, 8) Automatic transmission, 9) Must pass DOT inspection, 10) Working AC and heater, 11) 425 Flotation tires on front steer tires, 12) Cab color must be white.

Sealed bids will be received by mail or hand delivered to the Franklin County Clerks Office, Attn: Jessica Gay, Franklin County Courthouse, located at 33 Market Street, Suite 203, Apalachicola, FL 32320 until 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Monday, November 2nd, 2026. Bids must be sealed and clearly labeled on the envelope SEALED BID: Used Heavy Duty Class 8 Roll Off Truck. The bid transmittal form is available by email request to Erin Griffith at erin@franklincountyflorida.com. The bid transmittal form along with any available specifications and dealer documentation must be submitted as part of the sealed bid. Bids will be opened publicly by the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners at the County Commission Meeting on Wednesday, November 4th, 2026.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Franklin County. All bids shall remain firm for a period of thirty days after the opening
