Notice is hereby given that Bay District Schools has need for the professional services of a Registered Architect for the following project: Arnold High School Interior and Exterior Renovations

Bay District Schools (BDS) is seeking a qualified architectural firm for design and construction administration for interior and exterior renovations and refresh at Arnold High School located at 550 North Alf Coleman Road, Panama City Beach, FL 32407 . This project will inclu de HVAC and site improvements. Previous experience in school renovation and design is highly desirable. The project schedule is not firm but the design phase is planned to start within 2026. This project will be a half-cent sales tax funded project.

Interested firms are invited to respond by October 28, 2026 with an unpriced proposal providing your firms qualifications, experience, lead project architect, project team organizational chart, and your firms existing workload. From the proposals, BDS will identify a shortlist of at least 3 firms for in-person presentations. The contract will be based on an AIA template with fee based on the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) curve.

Firms wishing to be considered to provide professional services for the above project should state so in a letter of interest, and provide five printed copies and one digital copy on USB drive of the following information:

1. A letter of interest as stated above, identifying the design team.

2. A current Federal Standard Form 330

3. Proof of professional liability insurance for $1 million per occurrence and $2 million per aggregate

4. Bay District Schools Professional Consultant Information Form which can be obtained by request via email to Leigh Fuller at fulleln@bay.k12.fl.us or facilities@bay.k12.fl.us. To request by phone, please call 850-767-4139.

5. Any other information which will assist the Professional Services Advisory Committee in the evaluation of the applicant

Proposals will be received in the Office of the Deputy Superintendent-Facilities and Maintenance, Mr. Lee Walters, 1311 Balboa Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401 no later than 9:00 A.M. central standard time on Wednesday October 28, 2026. The Professional Services Advisory Committee will review proposals on Thursday October 29, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Nelson Building to shortlist applicants for interview. Interviews will be conducted on Monday November 2, 2026 at 8:00 am at the Nelson Building. The committees recommendation will be presented to the School Board at the November 10, 2026 School Board Meeting.
