INVITATION TO BID #2026-02

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Clewiston at City Hall, Attention: City of Clewiston Water System Infrastructure Improvements Project, 115 West Ventura Avenue, Clewiston, FL 33440 until Thursday November 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The Bids will be opened immediately following the bid submittal deadline at City Hall.

Questions will be accepted until Monday November 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM via email request to fransheska.berrios@clewiston- fl.gov.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting location will be at City Hall, 115 W. Ventura Avenue, Clewiston Fl.

The project is titled City of Clewiston Water System Infrastructure Improvements Project. The Work to be done under this Contract consists of the extension of a City of Clewiston water main pipeline from the City of Clewiston Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 (US 27) and Lewis Boulevard. The goal of this project is to improve water service in the Harlem community and to provide water service for future planned developments within the Citys service area.

This project includes the installation of 16 PVC, DIP, and HDPE water main pipelines along Lewis Boulevard, 13th Street, Della Tobias Avenue, 7th Street, and Georgia Avenue via open cut installation and horizontal directional drill installations. This project also includes the installation of air release valves, gate valve, fire hydrants, flushing stations, and other water pipeline appurtenances; connections to the Citys existing water system; and restoration of all areas impacted, including but not limited to roadways, sidewalks, landscaping, hardscaping, fences, swales, stormwater facilities, culverts, and mitered end sections.

All materials furnished and all work performed shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents pertaining thereto, which may be examined at the City of Clewiston Clerks Office, 115 West Ventura Avenue, Clewiston, FL 33440. Required Bonds

Bid Bond: A certified check or cashier's check on a National or State Bank or a bid bond in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Clewiston, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw from the competition after opening of the bids, and in the event the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will enter into contract and furnish the required performance and payment bonds, failing which, he shall forfeit the bid deposit as liquidated damages.

Performance and Payment Bonds: The performance and payment bonds shall be executed by a fully authorized surety, acceptable to the owner and licensed by the State of Florida.

The owner reserves the right to hold all bids for one hundred and eighty (180) days and to reject any and all bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to accept the bid in its judgment that serves the owner.
