REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS CRA NO.: 2026-05
SW 600, 700, & 800 BLOCKS OF WEST ATLANTIC AVENUE
MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DUE DATE AND TIME: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2026, AT 4:00PM EST
Pursuant to Section 163.380, Florida Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced developers, to lease or purchase, and redevelop approximately 7.54 acres of CRA-owned vacant land prominently located within the SW 600, 700, & 800 Blocks of West Atlantic Avenue - between I-95 and Swinton Avenue and less than 1.5 miles from the world-renowned Blue Flag certified beach. These CRA-owned properties provide an irreplicable assemblage of vacant land along Atlantic Avenue and a placemaking opportunity to have an impact on the surrounding community and help shape the landscape of downtown Delray Beach.
Interested Proposers shall propose a development project that shall include a mix of residential and commercial uses. Housing shall be developed for a range of incomes, and commercial spaces shall be developed so 100% of the building frontage at the sidewalk level is dedicated to active uses that are limited to general retail or services/facilities. The mixed-use development should create a positive visual impact that strengthens West Atlantic Avenue as an important gateway to downtown Delray Beach and improves the connection between the west and east portions of the Atlantic Avenue corridor. Critical to the CRAs redevelopment efforts and the communitys desires is ensuring that mixed-use development is thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The developer should take into consideration the history, character, and context of the surrounding established residential neighborhoods.
The RFP documents are available beginning Wednesday, October 7, 2026, on (a) the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency website - www.delraycra.org, and on (b) the Bidnet Direct website www.bidnetdirect.com. It is the responsibility of the Proposer to check the websites.
