NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION

On November 3, 2026, a special election shall be held in Lake County, Florida, on the following ballot question:

LAKE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT AD VALOREM TAX FOR TEACHER PAY AND SCHOOL SAFETY

To increase teacher pay, recruit and retain teachers, enhance school safety in compliance with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Act, and improve student mental health services, shall the School District levy up to one mill of ad valorem taxes for four years with funds shared with eligible charter schools based on each charter schools proportionate share of the Districts enrollment, and with all expenditures staying local and monitored by an independence citizen review committee?

IMPUESTO AD VALOREM DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR DEL CONDADO DE LAKE PARA PAGO A MAESTROS Y SEGURIDAD ESCOLAR

Para aumentar el salario de los maestros, reclutar y retener maestros, mejorar la seguridad escolar conforme a la Ley Marjory Stoneman Douglas, y mejorar los servicios de salud mental estudiantil, deber el Distrito Escolar recaudar hasta un (1) mill de impuestos ad valorem por cuatro aos, compartiendo fondos con escuelas charter elegibles de acuerdo con su proporcin de inscripcin, con todos los gastos permaneciendo locales y supervisados por un comit ciudadano independiente?
