Fiscal Year 2027 General Funds Request for Applications for

Youth Emergency Shelter and Support Services

Broward County Human Services Department (HSD) announces a Request for Applications (RFA) for a multi-year, evaluation-based, pilot program for the provision of services to address the health and welfare of Broward County residents. Agencies eligible to apply for the advertised service are non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, and public entities. Only proposals addressing the advertised service are eligible for funding consideration. The anticipated initial term for the advertised service is April 1, 2027 through September 30, 2028.

$500,000, Youth Emergency Shelter and Support Services (YESS)

The funds listed are estimates and are contingent upon Broward County Board of County Commissioners approved Fiscal Year 2027 and Fiscal Year 2028 budgets. Broward County has no obligation to award contracts to provide YESS. More detailed information regarding the eligibility criteria and service categories may be found in the RFA. The RFA will be available for download on the above website on Monday, October 26, 2026.

An Applicant Workshop will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, 10:00 AM in person at 115 South Andrews Avenue, The Commission Chamber, Room 422 or virtually at

Completed proposals, including all budgets and support documentation as indicated in the RFA, must be received at HSDproposals@broward.org no later than Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 11:59 PM. County office hours for RFA support are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Late submission of a proposal is a fatal flaw. Late proposals will not be accepted or reviewed for consideration during this RFA process.
