Annual Bridge Repair, Maintenance, and Painting Services

The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified Bidders, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide bridge construction and maintenance services for the City's Public Works Department, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Invitation to Bid (ITB).

This Project is located at various locations in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, structural concrete repairs, spall repairs, treatment and replacement of corroded reinforcing steel, bridge deck repairs, pile and substructure repairs, seawall and bulkhead repairs, expansion joint replacement and resealing, crack injection and sealing, void filling and slab jacking, cathodic protection systems, pile jacketing, metallization, bulk zinc anode installation, utility support repairs, bridge railing and guardrail repairs/ replacement, bridge painting, pavement restoration, bridge signage and marker replacement, vertical clearance gauge installation in accordance requirements established by a Florida-licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM).

Licensing Requirements: Possession of the following is required for this Project: Florida Certified General Contractor License or any other State or County License(s), Certification(s) or Registration(s) deemed legally permissible by the City to conduct the nature of the work required in this solicitation. Bidders should submit a copy of license to be submitted with bid response.

Any sub-contractors employed by the Proposer shall be licensed and insured in accordance with this solicitation. Additionally, it is the Proposers responsibility to ensure that any sub-contractors work meets the requirements of this solicitation at all times.

Sealed bids will be received electronically by 2:00 p.m., local time, on November 30, 2026, and opened online immediately thereafter.

Pre-Bid Conference: Non-Mandatory will be held on Friday, November 2026 @ 10:00 AM

However, it will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the City's location(s)/facilities and become familiar with the scope of the Citys requirements and systems prior to submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required.

Bid Security: A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check or bid bond of 5 percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shall accompany each offer.
